Chris Horney
Chief Operating Officer
Chris Horney joined Murphy Real Estate Services in 2013 and currently serves as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Chris brings a breadth of real estate and finance experience to the role, including real estate/asset investment analysis and development execution. Chris leads the development team by analyzing and underwriting commercial real estate development and acquisition opportunities and is actively involved in the execution of all development projects. Chris also oversees and supports the firm’s business operations, including financial planning and budgeting, staff development and overall business strategy.
John T. Murphy
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
John T. Murphy is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Murphy Real Estate Services, where he leads the firm’s development, investment, and advisory platform. Since entering the real estate industry in 1989, John has built a reputation as one of Chicago’s most experienced real estate professionals, overseeing development, brokerage, and investment initiatives across the United States.
Steve Steinberg
Managing Director
Steve brings expertise in hotel operations, sales and marketing/revenue generation, financial analysis, and physical asset maintenance and more. He oversees the hotel projects (post-construction) for Murphy Asset Management, LLC, and provides liaison services between ownership groups and hotel management companies.
Dave Ariola
Managing Director
David is an expert at executing every phase of large, complex development projects including raising equity, master planning, entitlements, and design and construction management. He has personally provided the leadership on over $2 billion worth of projects in most product types including hi-rise, industrial, multi-family, hospitality, community, office, and historic rehabs primarily located on complex urban sites.
Susan Finis
Controller
Susan Finis is the Controller for Murphy Real Estate Services. As the leader of the accounting team, she manages accounting for hotel management, property management, and development for MurphyRES assets.
Deirdre Clein
Director
Deirdre oversees the project management of Murphy Real Estate Service’s development branch, including renovation and new construction projects in the hospitality, mixed-use, and residential sectors.
Jacob Levy
Development Analyst
Jacob is an Analyst for the development branch of Murphy Real Estate Services with focus on the net lease sector, Jacob also does work in projects in various other asset classes.
Michelle Waldron
Project Manager
Michelle Waldron is a Project Manager with Murphy Real Estate Services and a Global Real Estate Advisor with Sotheby's International Realty, specializing in new residential construction and community development.
Amy Northrup
Sales and Service Coordinator
Amy joined Murphy Real Estate Services in 2022, as part of their Ohio Division of Residential Real Estate Development — aligning with one of the nation's most respected development firms and bringing her local market expertise to the company's growing Lake Erie portfolio.
