Development Overview:

In July 2018, Michigan State University (MSU) issued a request for proposal to develop the Grand Rapids Research Center site aiming to provide modern rentable spaces for MSU and other stakeholders that will support the MSU research and healthcare innovation cycle. Health Innovation Partners won the proposal in 2019 and executed a long-term ground-lease with the MSU Board of Trustees in May 2019. Health Innovation Partners, a joint venture among Murphy Development Group (MDG), Walsh Investors, and Rockford Construction & Development are developing Grand Rapids Innovation Park, the ground-up development of a seven-story office complex located on the “Medical Mile” in downtown Grand Rapids.
